How Doth the Little Crocodile

In honor of Lewis Carroll's Birthday today, I couldn't help posting my favorite poem by him. As a child I thrilled to the pictures it painted and shivered in horror for the poor little fishies.

How doth the little crocodile

Improve his shining tail,

And pour the waters of the Nile

On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin

How neatly spreads his claws,

And welcomes little fishes in,

With gently smiling jaws!

I love the Alice in Wonderland animated movie! The part I didn't like as much was "The Walrus and the Carpenter" though. Somehow the crocodile poem didn't bother me so much. Anyway, I have another award for you at Writing is Like....
